Role Description

As a (Senior/Expert) Consultant for Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) , you will have a range of responsibilities tailored to your level of expertise and experience:

• Design, configure, and implement advanced SAP S/4HANA FPSL (Financial Products Subledger) solutions for financial services institutions (FSI), focusing on compliance with IFRS 9, HGB, US-GAAP, and other relevant standards.
• Collaborate closely with clients in banking or insurance to gather business and technical requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications for FPSL implementations that address key financial, accounting, and regulatory needs.
• Adapt the FPSL data model to meet specific client demands, ensuring seamless integration with upstream systems and maintaining data consistency across financial and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with the overall architecture and IT landscape of the customer.
• Depending on your level of seniority, take a lead role in FPSL implementation projects for clients, managing stakeholder expectations and overseeing project deliverables.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to ensure effective adoption of FPSL solutions.
• Leverage expertise in financial regulations to design compliant FPSL solutions.
• Support global sales teams in pre-sales activities, including proposal preparation and client demonstrations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer-facing role within the Financial Services Industry (FSI), demonstrating strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with S/4HANA FPSL or SAP Bank Analyzer AFI. For more senior roles, a deeper level of expertise and leadership experience in FPSL implementations is expected.
• Proficient in configuring and customizing SAP S/4HANA FPSL, effectively leveraging available business content.
• Experience with Fioneer Financial Services Data Management (FSDM), Fioneer Financial Control, SAP S/4HANA Finance, or SAP Group Reporting is considered a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of finance and accounting functions within banking and/or insurance sectors, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Strong grasp of accounting processes and how they integrate within financial solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in German is a plus but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-centric approach to foster robust client relationships.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to support client projects and engagements.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, demonstrating leadership and mentoring capabilities, particularly for more senior roles.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and provide tailored solutions to client needs.
