Our team of Wartsila navigational simulator is looking for a Senior Technical Artist. You can become part of scrum team that is working on market leader product (45% market share) Navi-Trainer professional.

This is a permanent role , the location is Belgrade, Serbia.

Company-wide communications are in English. We strive to use only English for written technical communication.

What you will be doing:

Improve & organize the pipeline for the navigational simulator visualization in Unreal Engine
Prototyping model & level design in Unreal Engine
Understanding the design requirements for the visual aspects of the simulations and translating the visualization ideas into the scene with related components - including mesh quality optimizations, materials, scene and level design
Collaborating with a global team, focusing on the lead technical artist role within Unreal Engine, and managing asset workflows
Working closely with the C++ developers on the team
Staying updated on the latest technologies and trends in real-time 3D visualizations
Guiding third-party 3D modelers on best practices when using Unreal Engine
Working as a member of the product team with the backlog, production & support

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

Experience with real-time visualization techniques and game engine
Experience with ray-traced scene properties and optimizations in Unreal Engine
Proficiency with at least one 3D modeling tool (3DsMAX, Blender, Zbrush, etc.) and one 2D graphics tool (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Communicability
Experience in asset workflows, materials development, lighting development, animations, and basic VFX in Unreal Engine
English at intermediate level or higher

Will be a plus:

Advanced understanding of Blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine
