Role Description: DevOps Engineer - Kosovo

Role Purpose:

DevOps Engineer at Wasabi is part of the technical operation team. The operation team is responsible to build, monitor, and maintain production environments. In this role, you will use your DevOps skills to deploy services to the production environment and troubleshoot deployment and application issues. Improve service deployments, monitor and regular Maintenance tasks using automation skills. Enhance the security of the vault by implementing strict security policies. Use troubleshooting skills to identify issues in production and report and help application teams in improving highly reliable, secure, scalable, and innovative applications for Wasabi’s hot cloud storage service.

This role will report to the Development Operations Team Lead.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, automate, scale, and secure cloud application Production Environments using infrastructure-as-code with Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
Help monitor and maintain the production environments using experience with ELK, Loki, Grafana, Prometheus, and Alert Manager.
Troubleshoot production hardware, networking, and application issues using experience with Ubuntu or any other Linux operating system, understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, and experience managing production environments remotely.
Securing production environments using security best practices.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in development and managing production environments in a DevOps role.
Experience with developing highly automated, secure, always-up systems.
Experience in monitoring and maintaining large-scale Linux and Python-based production environments using ELK, Prometheus, or similar applications.
Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and solving issues in applications, backend, databases, network devices, and services in a 24x7 production environment.
Demonstrated ability in deploying configuration changes, software upgrades, and hardware into live production environments.
Experience in automating application deployment and production maintenance tasks using Ansible and Terraform.
Understanding of Layer 2 and 3 networking protocols.
