Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance Drupal-based websites and applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability
Collaborate with designers to convert visual designs into functional Drupal themes
Customise Drupal modules and plugins to meet specific project requirements
Write your own custom modules
Optimise websites for performance by implementing caching, database tuning, and other techniques
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, estimate project timelines, and provide technical expertise
Perform Drupal core and module updates, as well as troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise
Stay up-to-date with the latest Drupal development and web development trends, technologies, and best practices

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, software engineering, or a related technical field
Experience developing web solutions in Drupal 8 or 9 and PHP implementations
Experience with Docker-based dev environments (Docksal, Lando, DDEV…)
Ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data and display
Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as Views, Paragraphs, Group, and Webforms…
Experience creating custom Drupal modules and themes
Knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions
Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs
Knowledge of Drupal implementation best practices, such as utilising a CI tool, like GitLab or GitHub
Understanding of web accessibility standards and principles
Familiarity with building and managing a content management system (CMS) including managing regular site updates and back-end upgrades
